THE WHITE DIET

After a teeth whitening treatment, the pores of your enamel are open and this makes them extra vulnerable to any stains which can reverse a lot of the whitening benefit from your treatment.

It is important to follow THE WHITE DIET to enhance and maintain your whitening results for a long lasting, bright and healthy smile.

THE WHITE DIET consists of light coloured foods and beverages to maximise the whitening process. So just avoid consuming dark or yellow staining foods or beverages. If you must consume dark liquids do so through a straw.

For the first 1-2 hours after treatment, refrain from eating anything at all, and drink water only.

Try to stick to THE WHITE DIET for the next 24-48 hours at least. Once the pores close, which usually happens within 24-48 hours after the procedure, you can resume your normal habits. But for optimum results, continue to follow this advice for 3-6 days, if possible.

Remember though the more staining your diet the faster you will re-stain your teeth. Taking care with what you eat will keep your smile whiter for longer.

An easy rule to remember is, anything that will stain a white t-shirt will stain your teeth!
