The treatment involves straightening your brow hairs, brushing them vertically upward, and setting them in place with a gentle perming formula.

Results will last between 6 to 8 weeks. Individual results depend on your own hair growth cycles, and how well you look after your brows at home.

While brow lamination is generally for everyone, there are a few exceptions. The treatment is not recommended for people who are pregnant, have allergies or past reactions to lash lift products, cosmetics, dyes, and semi-permanent tattooing such as microblading, that have sensitive skin and/or any skin conditions.

PREPARING FOR YOUR BROW LAMINATION 

• Please arrive with NO makeup/brow makeup.

• Ensure you have no spray tan on your face.

• Avoid using retinols, retin-A, AHA's, BHA's, steroid creams or skin thinning treatments for 3 days prior to treatment.

• You must be off Roaccutane or other acne medications for 6-12 moths prior to treatment.

• Remove contact lenses.

• Avoid sun exposure for 1 week prior the appointment.

• Do not use oil on the brow area, including oil based make-up removers, oily primers, moisturising cream, sunscreen, etc for 48 hours before your appointment. Use micellar water or any oil free remover.

• No facial peels microdermabrasion or cosmetic procedures in the 2 weeks prior to treatment.

• Cease using any brow growth serums 24 hours prior to your appointment.

AFTER YOUR BROW LAMINATION

It takes up to 48 hours for the bonds to cure and lock your new brow shape into place. By following this aftercare advice you will get the best results:

• Avoid wetting your brows for 48 hours after treatment.

• Avoid exposing your brows to humidity or excessive moisture for 48 hours after the treatment. This includes hot steam from showers, saunas, ovens, dishwashers, even cooking over steaming stovetop, as this can cause the solution to break down and the hairs to lose their shape. This is recommended wherever possible.

• Do not allow prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or excessive heat. Avoid the use of tanning beds for 48 hours. Avoid sunbathing for 24 hours after treatment as direct sunlight may fade the tint.

• No sweating/exercise for 24 hours.

• Avoid touching, stroking or playing with the brow hairs. Please try to leave them alone as much as possible.

• Avoid using oil based or strong makeup removers other than Elleebana Makeup Remover for 48 hours. They may strip the colour or change the direction of the brow hairs.

• Do not use any lotions, creams, shampoos, face wash/cleansers for a minimum of 24 hours.

• Avoid any products that contain oil for the life of your lamination.

• Avoid sleeping on your face or side for the first 48 hours. If your brows are rubbing against the pillow, it can change the direction of the brow hairs. Also avoid eye masks for 48 hours. Sleeping on your back for the first few nights is recommended.

• Avoid using retinols, Retin-A, AHA’s, BHA’s or steroid creams around the brow area for 48-72 hours.

• Avoid exfoliating around or through the brow hair for 48 hours.

• Do not apply make-up/brow products or receive any other eye treatments (waxing, plucking, lash extensions, etc) for at least 24 hours after your treatment.

• Do not brush your brows for the first 24 hours after your lamination.

• No spray tan/self tanning the face for 48 hours.

• Schedule your next appointment in 6-8 weeks time!

• Expect results to last 6-8 weeks, after which your brows will gently relax back to their natural state, and there will be new regrowth that will be ready to be treated again.

ONGOING CARE

It's essential to maintain proper aftercare to ensure that your brow lamination treatment lasts as long as possible and that your brows look healthy and beautiful.

• Each morning your laminated brows will require styling by brushing and setting in place. Use a spoolie brush to brush brows upward and outward in the direction of their natural growth. This will help to maintain their shape, and to ensure the hairs are going in the right direction. Also brush brows into place every time they get wet if needed.

• Apply a nourishing serum or oil specifically for brow lamination to your brows daily to keep them hydrated and healthy. This will help prevent breakage and keep the brow hairs looking full. (An after care kit is included with your first service). Elleeplex Advanced Aftercare Formula, or Elleeplex Hyaluronic Serum is recommended to be used daily to hydrate and protect the brow hair.

• A brow sculpting product is also a great idea to hold brows in place.

• Be gentle when removing makeup or cleansing your face. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing your brows, as this can cause them to become mis-shapen or fall out.

• If you notice any stray hairs or areas that need touching up, use a brow pencil or powder to fill them in. Be careful not to disturb the hairs that have been laminated.
