Cosmetic Teeth Whitening
Feel more confident with cleaner, whiter teeth.
Teeth Whitening is the perfect treatment for weddings, birthdays, special occasions, parties, debutantes, fitness competitions and anyone that desires a brighter smile!
It's a safe, quick, and effective treatment to remove superficial stains, deep staining and discoloration, leaving them whiter and brighter than before. You can achieve a whiter, brighter smile in just one hour! Clients have achieved excellent results of 5-14 shades lighter on untreated teeth.
We offer the strongest whitening gel available for use in Australia for non-dental practitioners. All products are ACCC approved and safe and gentle for teeth and gums. Depending on your lifestyle, whitening can last from 1-3 years.
If you’re a heavy smoker, coffee drinker or have had braces, we recommend you return for a top up session after 1 week.
Maintenance visits are recommended every 3-6 months, or even every 12 months. It depends on your diet, genetics, etc and how white you want your teeth to be. All sessions are 1 hour (3 x 20 minute sessions).
Most people will have no problem with the professional teeth bleaching process. However, there are certain conditions and situations that we need to know. Please view the FAQ page and contact us ahead of your visit if any of the conditions mentioned apply.
PREPARING FOR YOUR TREATMENT
For best results, gently brush your teeth before your treatment. Don’t consume anything other than water 1-2 hours before your treatment.
There are eating restrictions after the treatment so please keep this in mind when you book. Book your whitening treatment at least 48 hours before an event. For best results, start your first treatment 2-3 weeks prior to the event in case you decide you would like multiple treatments.
Booking in for a scale and clean with your dentist prior to your treatment can be beneficial, but it’s not compulsory.
If you have any concerns prior to your treatment, please consult your dentist.
TEETH WHITENING AFTERCARE
After the whitening procedure your teeth become more porous and are more susceptible to re-staining, so it is important to follow the aftercare advice to enhance and maintain your whitening results for a long lasting, bright and healthy smile.
Your teeth will continue to whiten over the next 48 hours, so for the first 1-2 hours after the treatment, refrain from eating, and drink only water.
To maximise the whitening process, over the next 48 hours, try to stick to a "white diet" of light coloured foods. DO NOT smoke or consume dark or yellow staining substances such as tea, coffee, coloured soft drink, acidic food, red wine, curry, berries, tomato based sauces, soy sauce, etc).
If you must consume dark liquids, do so through a straw. For more optimum results, continue to follow this advice for 3-6 days if possible.
If post sensitivity after treatment occurs, chew sugarless gum to reduce the peroxide levels and take Nurofen, Panadol, or what you would normally take for a headache.
Remember, anything that will stain a white t-shirt will stain your teeth!
To maintain whiteness and prevent stains from developing, we recommend using AP24 toothpaste. This toothpaste has a patented formula which places a protective barrier around each tooth and works to protect them from future staining and plaque formation.
This gentle, vanilla mint formula freshens breath and provides a clean, just-brushed feeling that lasts all day.
You can purchase this toothpaste in the salon or online.
